Schizoid Personality disorder

I've read some articles that say that Kafka shows that he has Schizoid Personality disorder in his writing. The articles say that there is evidence of this disorder in his book The Metamorphosis as well as some of his other works, but they do not specifically say that there is evidence in The Trial. Schizoid Personality disorder is when someone has a lack of interest in social relationships. People with the disorder tend to have solitary lifestyles and are emotionally cold. Some people with the disorder have an elaborate internal fantasy world.

  1. So did he have schizoid personality disorder in his real life or just in his writings? Couldn't it also be classified as antisocial disorder because he had such a lack of interest in his social relationships. This could be the reason why he waited until his death bed to actually propose to his girlfriend. Or this could have been the reason why he never showed his friend Max his work until he left it to him in his will

  2. He was not diagnosed with the disorder, it is just speculation by those who have studied Kafka thoroughly. They say they have found evidence in his writings.
